Let's begin by listening and bringing real compassion to our upper body and give our shoulders and neck a much needed a break. You will need to bring to class at minimum, your Yoga Tune Up® CLASSIC and PLUS size balls for this one. Of course, if you have the whole set of the Yoga Tune Up® Roll Model Balls that would give you more tools to find the right fit for your body. Visit the "Products" section of this site to order your balls. A pair of Tennis Balls will work in a pinch. Using transformative practices from Qi Gong, yoga, intuitive movement and Yoga Tune-UP®, Body Lab reinforces your ability to be fully present and authentically connected to your body. This monthly class originates from the need to bring more feeling-based physical access to the bodies of actors, directors, writers and musicians within the Joan Scheckel Filmmaking Lab community. However these classes are beneficial for all, and all are welcome. If this is your very first time taking a body lab class with Rie, please book your spot with the discounted first-time-student tuition of $15! _____________________________________________ No prior experience needed to participate. How to Prepare For Class: -Wear comfortable, easy to stretch in clothing -Set up your space to be comfortable to move in with plenty of space to stretch and roll around on the ground. -Have a yoga mat -Please bring all your 'self massage' balls from Yoga Tune Up®, see PRODUCTS page of our site for how to order.
